The shop is opened !!!

We finally made it... We opened the doors on Friday 24th of September at noon and here are our very first customers, Lovely couple Dave & Joyce:

Homemade Oatmeal Soda Breads, White Loaf Pans,

Sun dried Tomatoe Rolls, Double Onion & Cheese Rolls

And cute little French Brioches....Yummy!

After an overwhelming 1st two weeks, I am starting to relax a bit and find my organisation around my new kitchen and the shop. So here are a few more pictures, and I'll see you soon in my kitchen!

The appliances are plugged in, the sink and handwash are connected and we are well tired...all for the good cause of baking though! The last "big thing" to be done is the partition between the kitchen and shop part to be built, and Kenny is working at it as I type this =^.^=
I twisted my neck yesterday...that's not helping gnrffff But I have great plans to be in full form again by tomorrow and keep on painting away over the week end. I'm planning to start baking on monday and get used of the new oven...I'll have to adjust some of the temperatures and times of cooking and make sure everything is perfect!

So this it...the shell of the bakery...!!!

There's been more progress since this picture though. I had never used an electric drill before last week...and am getting addicted to it...The plasterboards are up and the walls are ready for plastering (excuse my french...=^.^=)

It should start to look like a bakery by this week end...! I can't wait to use the new kitchen for the 1st time and get planning and testing (as well as tasting ...) for the new list of treats for the shop!

The opening is planned for the 1st September, but am hoping to start baking a few days before that...yeeehhaaaa! There will be macarons ( of course!), tartlets, cakes, chou pastries, breads and lots of surprises!

Big News this week! My kitchen is moving!

I am opening a shop on the main street in Kilcullen! I am starting to run out of space here so it's time to take the plunge... It will be open plan so you'll get to see me baking, with display fridges at the front part with all the treats and goodies. I am planning the opening for the 1st week of september, I'll see you then!

I am busy baking this week, uncluding a cone of macarons. Kenny will do a gorgeous photo of it so I'll share it with you next week.
I've had my eyes on a shop that is for let and am hoping to get more news about it soon. There are a couple of issues that need sorting, so as always....patience is the key =^.^=

The strawberry tartlets and the french macarons are doing very in Annie Apples in Naas and customers are delighted with the new treats!
This week will be work work work on the business plan and finish to put everything in my head on paper.

I've busy all week last week...so apologies for not posting anything...I promise it won't happen again =^.^= On the good side, I've lots of nice pictures to share with you! I baked at least 600 macarons in the last 2 weeks...So if you still haven't got the chance to try them just get in touch!

Kenny is going macarons crazy too... he wants to take pictures of them in different shapes...("2010 would be great...the year seems to be a popular download..." says he..)...hahaha thanx Kenny! because as much as a "0" or a "1" is easy to pipe backwards....the "2" was much more tricky (thanx again Kenny...^^) So 2010 is in the fridge ready to get pictured later on, that'd better be good!

I'm going to work on my business plan this week...am starting to dream of a shop big time so let's make it happen =^.^=

Oh, and in addition of the macarons, Annia Apples juice & sandwich bar in Naas will be selling strawberry tartlets from this thursday! Yummy!

This week, the strawberry, chocolate and vanilla French Macarons are still selling in Annie Apple Juice Bar in Naas after last week's success.

Kenny got us a brand new computer on Monday (the one we had was old and tired =^.^=) so appart from the orders, I'll be busy on the pc transfering files and getting used of the new settings and other new programs Kenny added up...Technology is not my best friend so bare with me and I'll have some nice pictures to share with you next week!... By then I'll be a computer genius...hahaha! (not...)

This week the French Macarons are going to Annie Apples Juice Bar & Health Shop in Naas! In France there is a special coffee/ dessert called "Cafe Gourmand", and they will do their own version of that treat using the Gluten Free Macarons. So you'll get one strawberry, one vanilla and one chocolate macaron with your tea or coffee...Yummy! The hardest part is to find a name for it....banging our heads as I write this =^.^=
I also gave them some samples they can offer for customers to try for FREE!!!

Annie Apples Juice Bar is on the Main Street in Naas, a few meters up on the other side of superquinn, hop by for a taste!

This coming Sunday is the Kilcullen carboot sale so I'm going to get ready for that and do a nice yummy stand. I'll be baking some strawberry tartlets and some macarons, see you there!

The new treats have arrived!

We're starting to see the new strawberries on the side of the roads, and they are simply gorgeous in pastries and cakes...

I've played the fashion designer last week end, and created some novelty cakes. Perfect for any occasion or celebration! The tests I did on some sponges and creams are to die for ... I'll say no more or I won't stop^^ Best to try!

There are also some Tartlets now available and some macaron treats for your guests to take home!
